Sorry if the vids are a bit short and shaky, I was trying to stop my hat been blown off at the time!
A report on the SOS website mentioned some Avocets at Stanbury Point, Thorney Island. I am usually  really skeptical about the veracity of some of the reports from here but this time they couldn't be faulted as the Avocets were indeed there:





Although not the most popular birds to some birders, personally I love a Mandarin Duck! These were in the field by the road to Chalk Springs Trout Fishery in Arundel:

Had a lovely day out with the family at WWT Arundel, yes I know they're not wild birds but couldn't resist a few pics!

Despite initially going to the wrong Sea Lane, I eventually connected with the Iceland Gull at Goring Gap:



Also present, a Kittiwake:



and several hundred other gulls, including a couple of Mediterranean Gulls.

An amble around Dell Quay/Fishbourne today with the SOS produced a few birds despite the gale force winds. Spotted Redshank:


Lesser Black Backed Gull:


and plenty of 1st Winter Black Headed Gulls:


Greenshank, Peregrine, Yellowhammers, plenty of Wigeon and Teal, Shelduck and Black Tailed Godwit (en masse) also present but couldn't find a Snipe, Jack or otherwise.

Forgot to put this up the other day, the Goosander drake at Petworth Park:



And a Green Woodpecker, the Marsh Tit was also around the car park as usual.
A drive round a few sites didn't provide much today apart from a nice Marsh Tit at Farley's Copse, Barlavington, was told that there was a flock of 30 Siskins too but couldn't find them alas.
