Red-throats & White-fronts

Still no more sign of the Tundra Bean Goose on various cycle rides around the Selsey Peninsula but the flock of c.66 White-fronted Geese have been showing nicely at Fisher/Bramber.

Offshore at the Bill there has been a continuous flow of Red-throated Divers and a few other bits including a few Velvet Scoters, a Red-necked Grebe and seven White-fronted Geese.

Fieldfares, Geese & Harriers

I have spent a great deal of time over the past week trying to track down the Hen Harrier seen at the North Wall & Honer recenty, sadly without success (so far...). Have seen plenty of Marsh Harriers, a cracking female Merlin ( and a male) and Sparrowhawks and Kestrels so not all bad.

Also on the wanted list are the two Tundra Bean Geese found at the ferry Pool..unfortunatley these too seem to have vansihed! But again some solace in looking through the lovely flocks of White-Fronted Geese at Fisher.

The Honer area had generally been pretty good to me and today a good flock of c.35 Fieldfares was present towards the the North Wall end of the lane...only two Tufted Ducks on the reservoir though. Earlier, a Marsh Harrier was having its brunch at the Ferry
