I arrived at Lodmoor this morning only for the RBA alert to go off to say that the Ross's Gull was at Ferrybridge! A fairly rapid scoot over to Chesil and there it was..winter adult Ross's Gull! A stunning bird I thought! Managed to get a couple of other birders on it by passing on the message at Lodmoor which was nice. Another look at Lodmoor later on in a biting wind didn't produce the gull but a Marsh Harrier performed very well over the reedbeds, always good to see.

Glaucous Gull
A Glaucous Gull at Church Norton yesterday afternoon was still there today, albeit on the Pagham Spit side, munching on a deceased Lesser-spotted Dogfish, video here

Thayer's Gull
Second time lucky for me as I dipped the Thayer's Gull at Tidpit pig fields yesterday-today, however, it was there, very pleased! Also present a 1w Caspian Gull (and a few Yellow-legged & Mediterranean Gulls not pictured).

White-spotted Bluethroat & Black Guillemot
Bluethroat at West Rise Marsh was a Sussex tick for me; the Black Guillemot is also looking much darker now at Sovereign Harbour.
